Erik's Story

Erik Osberg grew up in rural Minnesota. Hard work & community helped shape his values. He's never been a politician, but he is a leader. Erik graduated from Upsala Area Schools in 1991. He worked his way through college. Spent time in construction. He's been on a cement crew, siding crew, stucco crew and general labor.
After earning his degree from Hamline University in 1999, he became a sports reporter/anchor. Then transitioned into financial services. Helping families and small businesses plan for their future. He later started his own marketing business and his own TV show highlighting the natural wonders of rural Minnesota. Since 2017, Erik has worked in the public sector, promoting economic development and changing the narrative around rural communities.

Erik understands the challenges facing western Minnesota. Family farms trying to thrive. Public schools facing budget cuts. Healthcare systems at a tipping point. He decided he could no longer sit on the sidelines.
Now, he's running for Congress to fight for working families and stand up for rural Minnesota. He wants to bring honesty, accountability and compassion back to politics.
Erik believes in community over self. He's not here to play politics, he's here to make a difference. Erik believes we can do better.
